ROSE TATTOO - BEST OF, 1978-1984

Founded in 1976, Rose Tattoo has the distinction of being the 2nd biggest Australian hard rock band of the late 70's and early 80's. Much like a meaner, faster, more tattooed AC/DC, they played songs about boozin', fightin', and chasin' some tail. The distinct slide guitar licks of Peter Wells (formerly of the awesome band Buffalo) and raspy vocals of pint-sized brawler Angry Anderson form the basis of Rose Tattoo's unique sound, a driving, furious juggernaut that provides a perfect soundtrack for a night out pubbin' with your mates.
Just check out jams like "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw", "One of The Boys", or "Nice Boys" (which Guns 'N Roses covered on their Lies EP) for proof that these Aussie blokes know how to get the goddamn party started. I know it's kind of lame to post a "Greatest Hits" album, but it's a great way to get acquainted with this ass-kicking quintet if you haven't already. Get yourself some Rose Tattoo, get drunk, get pumped, and then get out there and kick some emo kid's ass. It's therapeutic.
