Remember Runhild, the brutal teenage vocalist from Doom Metal band Thorr's Hammer and, more recently, geneticist at the Norwegian autonomous-cell development firm Regenics? If so, you're probably wondering what she's been up to musically these days.
Well, last we checked on her, Runhild was singing in an ambient/drone/chaos/freakout project called Khlyst with notorious NYC band whore James Plotkin (of Khanate, O.L.D., Regurgitation, Lotus Eaters, Atomsmasher, Phantomsmasher, Flux, Namanax, Solarus, Romance, and Shadowcast, among others). Their music, if you choose to call it that, is half-improvised, feedback-drenched weirdness that lurches back and forth between intense screaming accompanied by loud, freaky riffage and long periods of buzzing moodiness. It's some seriously fucked-up shit. You should check it out.
