GOBLIN - ROLLER (1976)

So here you have it: Goblin's very first NON-soundtrack release, a saucy little 1976 platter entitled Roller. I repeat -- This is NOT a soundtrack, so don't go scouring the internet for an obscure Argento giallo called Roller. It doesn't exist. Give it up.
Musically, this album sounds like, well... Goblin. At their very best. Sweet-ass funky jams with plenty of slap bass, analog synth, and just the right hint of minor-key menace.
And dig that minimal cover art!

PS - I'm no fashion guru, but I'm sure we can all agree on one thing: Goblin sure had something special going on in the mid 70's. Check these fuckers out:

You'll get my Goblin sweater when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.

I am not into this kind of funky music... not at all... I know it's good and has a lot of stuff that was way beyond their time but it's just not my thing.
