SATURDAY MORNING DOUBLE FEATURE: PRIMUS RUINED EVERYTHING

Once upon a time, there was a Satanic little East Bay teenager named Larry LaLonde. He loved Venom, Motorhead, and Slayer, and soon put together his own speed metal band with a couple Bros. They called their band "Possessed".
About this same time, another dude named Les Claypool was playing bass in a Heathen/Forbidden-esque thrash band called "Blind Illusion". Blind Illusion was pretty rippin', though they did have a tendency for corniness and acoustic interludes. They put out one album with young Les, 1988's The Sane Asylum, before he quit.
Les decided metal was lame. He joined forces with Larry (who, by this time, had also put out several rippin' albums with his band) and started a stupid band that sang songs about fishing that no one could headbang to. Larry, too, abandoned metal, and soon he and Les were rolling in dough, playing sold-out concerts in front of stoned-out hacky sack enthusiasts. Oh well.

Here's to the good times.
