Last week, I promised you guys another dose of Jerry Goldsmith. Well, here it is, another treasure from the Illogical Contraption Vault of Insanity... The score to Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi/horror masterpiece Alien!!!If you know Mr. Goldsmith's work at all, you already know what to expect: Top-notch, triumphant, dynamic, orchestral wizardry. This guy's catalog is a veritable museum of film classics, from horror to sci-fi to fantasy to drama to comedy and back. Alien is one of his best.

Great to see the props for Jerry's score, but, that photo is of the Maestro's daughter Carrie and her children---his grandkids. So's you know.
