As I've mentioned before, Jerry Goldsmith is the fucking MAN. This score is some of his finest work, and also snagged him his only Academy Award, largely due to the hauntingly demonic choral track "Ave Satani". Goldsmith was an absolute master at what he did, especially when he worked in the realm of horror and sci-fi. He reveals chumps like Michael Kamen to be the posers that they truly are, confused children piddling about at the feet of a true genius. You can't compete with Jerry Goldsmith.
