Chicago's American Heritage are a tough band to classify, a sludgy, technical wall of sound that could be described as sounding like a cross between High On Fire on algebra and early Dillinger Escape Plan with a belly full of red meat and a mean hangover. Similar to both Mastodon (they did a split record together years ago) and fellow Chicagoans Lair of the Minotaur, "Millenarian" is a HEAVY goddamn record full of fuzzy riffs and goofy lyrics, and you should totally get it NOW if you enjoy things like getting punched in the face or kicked in the balls.

great band but they never get the praise they truly deserve.personally,i prefer these guys to Mastodon,to whom they are so often compared.
