ANYBODY WANNA DROP A BUNCH OF ACID?

What you just saw was the trailer for the 1988 short film Prometheus' Garden, created entirely by acid casualty, Zappa collaborator, and insane visual genius Bruce Bickford. While I was unfortunately introduced to this piece of cinematic weirdness via a projection show by a really shitty band last Friday (the singer was lighting his dreadlocks on fire, for fuck sake!), it is nonetheless one of the most intense and surreal pieces of animation I've ever seen.
After dwelling in complete obscurity for 20 years, Prometheus is now available on DVD (in addition to a Bickford documentary entitled Monster Road). You can purchase it here, and while the selling price works out to almost a dollar a minute for this 28-minute masterpiece, take Professor Cobras' word on this one: It is worth WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY MORE.
