ANOTHER KOOL KEITH DOUBLE FEATURE

By now, whatever needs to be said about Kool Keith has been said. You know the man, and you know his work. But you don't know ALL his work. You know how I know that you don't know? Because NO ONE knows, except Keith Thornton himself. This guy has obscure records like Dolly Parton has tits, collabos like Neil Young has shitty guitar solos. Prolific without a prophylactic, didactic and prophetic. Keith kicks the semantics.
In response to the enormous demand for more Keith material IllCon experienced after the last KK-related post (The Cenobites), I present you with two more underground classics from the black mack back catalog, lost treasures spilling over from the mind of a genius lunatic. Kindly remove your clothes, this might hurt alot.

(Previously: Sex Style, etc. / The Doctors. Time for a 'Kool Keith' tag?)

ANALOG BROTHERS - PIMP TO EAT (2000)

Released well after Ice T was already lame, Pimp To Eat (a one-off collaboration between Kool Keith AKA Keith Korg, Ice T AKA Ice Oscillator, Black Silver AKA Silver Synth and Marc Live AKA Mark Moog) features some awesome rhymes from the man nonetheless, surprisingly spaced-out lyrics which are just as often about food or hair follicles as they are about hoes or money. That's right: post-Iceberg Ice T raps that DON'T SUCK. Weird.
Which isn't to downplay the importance of the other rappers involved. Keith is at his sci-fi-meets-strip-club best, while Marc Live and Black Silver bring their own strange, distinct styles to the mix as well. All in all, this is a rock-solid, exceedingly weird (look at the album cover) hip-hop venture that somehow completely slipped through the cracks of the collective consciousness. Why? Fuck if I know. Just hop in to the Bionic Oldsmobile and see what I'm talking about.

KOOL KEITH - SPANKMASTER (2001)

I briefly referenced this album's finest moment, the Princelike "Spankmaster (Take Off Your Clothes)", in the previously-mentioned Cenobites post. But this album boasts a fine selection of other sex-obsessed, brain-fucking hits as well. Not to mention one of the finest album covers in the history of recorded music. Classic Keith.

One question though: where is this chick's lower back?

PS: HAPPY #12 TO THIS GUY. LET'S GO BUY A GUITAR.
