GRANICUS - SELF-TITLED (1973)

You may or may not be aware of my extreme dislike for Led Zeppelin at this point, but I actually have nothing against early 70's Zeppelin clones. Like Cleveland, Ohio's Granicus, for instance.
Granicus belts out the bell-bottom arena rock with a fury, custom-wizard-van style. Long story short, dude's doing a pretty decent Robert Plant impersonation, and the band rocks really hard, then goes all outer-space-acoustic for like 20 minutes, then rocks really hard again. This was their only album.
I dunno. Look at the band photo.

I mean, come on.

I actually had no idea you didn't like Zeppelin. This will likely drive a wedge between us.

Let me guess, you don't like that Zeppelin ripped off scores of blues players and not only got away with it, but became more successful than the dudes they ripped off? Yeah, that sucks.
