I've written of my desire to see a female-fronted Manowar tribute band before (twice, actually), but so far nobody's been able to pull the trigger. Until now.
Ladies and gentlemen, my very own band Dalton will be performing under the name Womanowar at the Mano-Fest October 8th, with our lovely bass player Manslaughter (right) on vocals and our slightly-less-lovely vocalist Steve Dog on bass. Sitting in for Sr. del Tigre (who will be in Europe dicking around with The Pixies) on drums will be Andy Headrick, masterful skinsman for Space Vacation and formerly Walken.
The show will feature several Manowar tribute bands, and even a Manowar-meets-Barry Manilow project (that would be Barry Manowar). It's being put on by uber-Bro Stone Shaxul of Shaxul Records, so support the only decent heavy metal record store in San Francisco by attending.
You pussies.

Let's get some in depth coverage of the alluring and lovely bass player Manslaughter.
Take it easy, dude. Manslaughter will slay you with great vengeance and furious anger. Plus she's dating the drummer from my other band.
