Shred-heavy speed/thrash from Canada. Awesome cheesy intro, satisfyingly crunchy riffs, plenty of whammy bar abuse, and cool shrieky vocals that often venture into the realm of the Baloff-ian. Surprisingly kick-ass for a 1986 release. I would categorize Sacrifice with bands like
Morbid Saint and
MX, i.e. very talented second-tier metal bands that accidentally got taken out with the rest of the trash when the 80's thrash scene became overfed and overpopulated. Too bad. I'm pretty sure these guys are still together, though.

A forgotten classic! Sacrifice broke up in '93 or '94, and reformed not too long ago. They have a new album, of course...
