I don't know a heck of a lot about Leaf Hound, except that they were around in the late 60's to early 70's, their album is highly sought after by record collector/hipster types, and members of the group went on to join Free, Atomic Rooster, and, er... um... Foghat. They play some really kick-ass, bluesy, psychedelic hard rock, which I am totally down with, but the record's best feature, really, is that goddamn COVER. I mean, look at that shit.

ReplyDeleteI love this album and personally I don't really hear any'Zep-isms' myself, but then again I pretty much only ever play II from them and that may be why.
