Only to put things into perspective: There were rock-bands in Germany at that time (1971), but the ones who decided to do a cover of 'Paranoid' and had a hit with it was this Schlager duo ... it's pretty much the equivalent of Engelbert Humperdinck playing 'whole lotta love'.
That reminds me, did you ever hear the AMAZING April Fool's ruse that Kerrang started in the eighties? They said that Tom Jones was gonna be the new singer in Black Sabbath, and their first record together would be called 'Taurus'. Am I NUTS, or would that have been pretty cool?? Well, compared to, say, Sabbath with Tony 'The Cat' Martin.....
