Once upon a time there was a guy named Pete Helmkamp from Kansas City, who started a fuckin rippin band called Angelcorpse. Pete played bass and sang, and had a penchant for creating some seriously evil blackened death. Pete recruited a seemingly endless stream of dudes to execute the Angelcorpse vision, sharing members with bands such as Immolation, Exhumed, Origin, Diabolic, Acheron, Gorguts, Belphegor, and Nile along the way and eventually moving the band to Tampa, FL. Throughout the course of 15 years, Angelcorpse released a multitude of nefarious, blast-ridden albums, EPs, and demos before Pete finally called it a day in 2009, leaving behind a legacy of chaos, br00tality, and cacophony. Hammer of Gods was the first full-length from Angelcorpse, and will most likely make you hoist aloft unseen citrus upon first listen. Enjoy.

Duuuuuude, have you heard Kerasphorus yet? They're Helmkamp's most recent band that released an EP this year and already split up. But man, those 4 songs came close to out-Angelcorpsing Angelcorpse. So good.
