I.C. EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIERE: 5 NEW SONGS FROM CRETACEOUS
That's right, gang: Five fresh, piping-hot tracks recorded by our Bro Jef Leppard over at Lennon Studios. We're planning a full-length, but seeking distribution through a label as well. So all you record company CEO's, A&R's and jet-setting billionaire investors take note. Contact us either through this blog or our Myspace page. Enjoy!
1) "Bonestorm"
A song about a pack of velociraptors getting loose in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco and killing all the cops, junkies, and crackheads. Wouldn't it be nice?
2) "Arthropoda Interfectum"
Arthropoda: Greek word for the Phylum containing insects, arachnids, and crustaceans. Interfectum: Latin for kill, murder, or slay. A song about bugs killing people. As far as body mass goes, insects actually outweigh human beings on Earth. By far.
3) "Architeuthis Infernalis"
Pure speculative biology, part of the 'Sea Monsters' trilogy. Vampyroteuthis infernalis ("vampire squid from Hell") mates with an Architeuthis (giant squid), resulting, of course, in a Giant Vampire Squid From Hell. Chaos ensues.
4) "Biophage"
Greek - Bio: "Life". Phage: "Eater". Our ode to the giant predator Spinosaurus aegypticus, with shout outs to Suchomimus, Deinonychus, Baronyx, and others.
5) "Fossilized"
AKA Jurassic Park 4. The first Cretaceous song with a twist ending. Paleontologists extract DNA from some dinosaur bones and bring them back to life through cloning. Said dinosaurs run rampant, hunting humankind to extinction. In the end, it is the humans who are in fact "fossilized".
Comments are welcome. Criticism will be tolerated but not encouraged.
Sounds really good guys.
ReplyDeleteI hope you manage to woo some jet setting millionaire playboy investor. Unfortunately, I'm not one...
Good stuff...maybe you should compile this into an unofficial EP?

Also, these tracks are skull-crushing and awesome. Put me down for a copy when this comes out.
ReplyDeleteI really think there's too much shred in this mix. Can you turn the shred down?
ReplyDeleteRyGar: Thanks man! Keep an eye out, I'm sure there will be a hubbub here when the full-length comes out. I'll send you a copy when it's done if you email me a physical address.
ReplyDeleteDel Tigre: Unfortunately, the shred levels were set in the mix. But hopefully we can bring them down a little in the mastering process. I've learned my lesson, though, and by the time we go in to record Dalton I'm sure we'll have the shred levels knocked down to zero.
