A split EP from 1993 in which pissed-off political/hardcore freaks Born Against write music for lyrics written by cheesy pop-punkers Screeching Weasel and vice-versa. The results are a chaotic, corny love song and a stream-of-conciousness ramble on censorship by Born Against and three syrupy-sweet, poppy jams about genocide and injustice by Screeching Weasel. Novelty album? Perhaps. But pretty damn good, too.
I don't need to tell you guys that Born Against fucking rules. And whether you want to admit it or not, there was at least
one point in your life that you liked Screeching Weasel.
What's that? There wasn't? Oh. Sorry.

I have always liked Screeching Weasel, still do, I find it hard to fathom ever not liking them.
ReplyDeletethank you for being so honest, seth j.g. goodkind. I am unashamed to admit that i still enjoy "Surfer Girl", off of How To Make Enemies And Irritate People", to this day. Let the healing begin.
