A beefy slab of classic hard-rockin Swedish metal, heavy on the ball-sweat and reverb. Dosed liberally with choice nuggets of ESL-flavored charm (see opening track, "Axe Victim") and tight-pantsed swagger, I'm quite certain that these guys were the GODS of their scene back in 1983, and probably spent just as much time bangin' groupies as they did playin' sweet riffs. Who knows? Maybe they even did both at the same time.

Side note: While doing some Axe Witch research, I stumbled accross the fact that they released another full-length album in 1985, titled Hooked On High Heels. Anybody got it?
